Silent Laughs is a short documentary on the story and every day life of Leah Kalaitzi, an Edinburgh-based deaf stand-up comedian performing in sign language. The documentary is a Scottish Documentary Institute and Faction North co-production commissioned by Creative Scotland in the context of Bridging the Gap, one of the leading documentary new talent initiatives for cinema and broadcast in the UK.

The film premiered in Edinburgh Interrnational Film Festival and has screened and won awards in festivals in the UK, the US, Japan, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Greece and Turkey.
